Our Team
Carter Fleck
Carter Fleck is the owner and founder of Shekel Real Estate, a real estate consulting and investment firm specializing in multifamily real estate and property management consulting. Carter spent years helping build and scale the property management arm of EF Capital, a private equity real estate investment firm specializing in Class C apartment building investment and renovations. He personally handled and built the leasing and property management teams, managed re-branding and operations, and helped scale the management arm from roughly 100 to over 500 doors and from 2 to 10 employees. That experience gave him a front row seat to what actually drives property performance, and what separates a good investment from a costly one.
He also spent two years working with a local real estate development firm, gaining firsthand understanding of land development, from entitlements and zoning to the practical realities of bringing a project from raw land to a finished product.
Carter is a native of Virginia Beach, a University of Virginia graduate, and currently resides in Oceana with his wife, Claire, and the best pup in the world, Bishop. When he is not working, he is with his family and friends, surfing, reading or cooking. He hangs his real estate license with Broadsight Realty and is on the CGP Real Estate team.
